Cortina d'Ampezzo in winter, inspiration for Capsule Cortina

Capsule Cortina

A Journey Through the Ampezzo Valley

Five embroidered motifs, drawn from the life that has always belonged here.

Begin the journey

Before the postcard

The valley came first.

Capsule Cortina begins with the older Ampezzo valley: its woods, pale rock, high-altitude flowers and the winter rituals shaped by the mountain. The embroidery came last—after looking closely at what was already there.

A fox in the winter landscape, inspiration for the Volpe embroidery

01 · At the edge of the woods

The moment before it moves.

The fox rarely offers a long encounter. It appears at the edge of vision, alert and already aware of you. Volpe holds that brief pause in thread: quiet, adaptable and ready to disappear into the landscape.

02 · Higher on the rock

Stillness with a history.

The stambecco belongs to the steepest ground. Its silhouette is calm, but never fragile; the curve of its horns carries the record of years lived at altitude. The embroidery reduces that strength to a clear, enduring line.

03 · Closest to the rock

A flower made for altitude.

Stella Alpina grows low and close to the stone. What looks like white petals is a star of soft bracts, their fine surface adapted to the high mountain. In embroidery, its small geometry becomes both delicate and remarkably precise.

Winter changes the rhythm

Then the valley begins to move.

Two smaller motifs follow mountain life rather than wildlife: the skier in motion and the chairlift carrying people quietly upward.

04 · Sciatore

A figure in motion.

A concise embroidered skier recalls the practical elegance of early mountain dress, when movement determined every detail.

05 · Seggiovia

The quiet ascent.

The chairlift changed how the mountain was reached. Seggiovia keeps its unmistakable outline small, graphic and light on linen.

Inside, after the mountain

A table that does not imitate the landscape.

Oatmeal Stone and Off-White bring the collection indoors without turning it into a theme. The palette is quiet; the motifs carry the memory.
