Description

The Volpe is the red fox that crosses the snowy meadows around Cortina in winter. Rust and warm brown threads build its coat, with dark brown accents and off-white highlights giving the figure its depth.

Oatmeal Stone is a soft melange, pale enough that the rust reads clearly from across the table. The linen is pre-washed before it is cut and sewn, which is where the gentle crinkle and relaxed drape come from. Fold it loosely beside a plate and it looks relaxed, never starched.

Each napkin is cut, sewn and embroidered in Italy, with a tone-on-tone hem that stays out of the way. Use them every day, or save them for a slow Sunday lunch in the mountains.

Care

Pre-washed linen: These napkins are washed before they are cut and sewn, so they arrive soft, with a natural crinkle, ready to use.

Washing: Gentle cycle at 30°C / 86°F with a mild liquid detergent, together with similar colors. No bleach. Dry cleaning is also fine.

Drying: Dry flat in the shade when you can. If you use the dryer, choose a low, delicate setting and take the napkins out while still slightly damp to avoid deep creases.

Ironing: Not needed; the relaxed look is part of the linen. For a smoother finish, iron on the reverse at medium heat to protect the embroidery.
