Description

Here the ground goes dark and the coral branch comes forward in aqua, so the placemat leads the table instead of sitting quietly under it. Use it as a placemat or as a charger under the dinner plate, and between dinners leave it on the table, where the aqua keeps the surface from looking bare.

It is the one that works after dark. Dark taupe takes candlelight well, which makes this a coral for dinner. Put it under a white plate and the contrast does the whole job without another color on the table.

Each placemat is built on a structured core with a removable embroidered linen cover. The elastic edge holds the cover flat and lets you lift it off to wash on its own.

  • Core: 3 mm high-density PVC foam. The cover fits over it with an elastic edge and lifts off for separate washing.

Care

Everyday care: Wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Clean spills promptly, since marks left to sit can set into the coating.

Before washing: Always slide the linen cover off the rigid core first. Only the cover goes in the machine; the core never goes in water.

Washing: Occasional, not routine: gentle cycle at 30°C / 86°F, never above 40°C / 104°F, with a mild detergent.

Avoid: fabric softener, chlorine bleach, spin cycles and the dryer.

Drying: Hang the cover to dry in the shade, then slip it back over the core.

Ironing: Medium heat, always through a clean cloth, from the reverse side where possible.

Dry cleaning: Allowed.

Please note: Long exposure to direct sun, rain or damp air can fade the color and wear the fabric.
