Description

The lightest version of the sardine: a shoal in Mediterranean Blue on a bright off-white ground.

Coated linen with a fold-over top, so it holds its shape when it is empty. That matters more than it sounds. A basket that stands up on its own is the one that ends up being used for something other than bread. Guest towels in a bathroom. A small plant on the console by the front door. A pot of basil or rosemary in the kitchen, within reach of the stove. Ours is named for Sunday lunch. It does not always end up holding it.

Care

Everyday care: Wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Clean spills promptly, since marks left to sit can set into the coating.

Washing: Only when it really needs it: gentle cycle at 30°C / 86°F, never above 40°C / 104°F, with a mild detergent.

Avoid: fabric softener, chlorine bleach, spin cycles and the dryer.

Drying: Hang to dry in the shade.

Ironing: Medium heat, always through a clean cloth, from the reverse side where possible.

Dry cleaning: Allowed.

Please note: Long exposure to direct sun, rain or damp air can fade the color and wear the fabric.
